Start Your Thanksgiving With A Snohomish County Turkey Trot

Tis the season to over indulge on all the wonderful food that we will be sharing.  The way we see it you have 2 options.

  1.  Try to limit (see: diet) the amount of food you consume.

  2. Run a 5 or 10k before thanksgiving to get your metabolism fired up and burn off those calories.

If you are leaning toward option 2 we don’t blame you.

It looks like a Turkey Trot may be what you need.  A nice 5 or 10k run the morning of Thanksgiving.  Lucky for you there are a ton of these fun runs to pick from.

Below is a list of all the Snohomish County Turkey Trots.

Stanwood Turkey Trot – 5K

Stanwood Turkey Fun Run

The Stanwood High School Wrestling Teams have a tradition of going on a 5K run together on the morning of Thanksgiving Day. The wrestlers have been joined by family members, friends, community members and four legged friends. For those who were not able to physically participate the idea of supporting the team with financial donations blossomed. This is how this event has grown into their biggest fundraising event of the year. For those that understand wrestling, you know that the sport is guided by each wrestler being paired up with an opponent of similar size and strength, and thus weight, conditioning and nutrition are a big part of the sport. So…. when you put a Thanksgiving Feast in front of a wrestler they have to justify their consumption. And so do the rest of us! Please join our fun run to help you justify your second piece of pumpkin pie and support our local athletes.SHS Turkey Fun Run 5K Adults 9:00AM PST – 10:00AM PST $15SHS Turkey Fun Run 5K Students and SHS Wrestler Alum 9:00AM PST – 10:00AM PST SHS Turkey Fun Run 5K Current SHS Wrestlers 9:00AM PST – 10:00AM PST $0
