Agent Spotlight: Meet Casey Bowers!

Updated: Nov 6, 2020

At John L. Scott, we are so proud of our agents and staff! Today we are taking a moment to shine the spotlight on an amazing individual from our Mukilteo office. Allow us to introduce you to Real Estate Broker, Casey Bowers! She would be happy to assist you with all of your real estate needs and remove the stress of finding a new home.

Occupation - Realtor, guide, match-maker

Tell us more about where you are from - born in Puyallup. Raised in Eastern Washington until HS. Resident of Snohomish County since 1979: Lake Stevens, Everett, Edmonds, Mukilteo (except for a short couple years long stint in Wallingford, when I was a student at University of Washington).

What I love about my profession - Gosh... for me it's all about meeting people where they are and taking them where they want to be.

Other interests and hobbies? - The older I get, the longer this list seems to grow. I love gardening. Boating with my husband and family. Walking my two Boxers. Concentrating and expanding on my yoga practice. Spending time with a very small, and close Circle of Friends. Reading provocative books. And learning more about myself.

Proudest moment - I've been blessed in my life. I have proud moments of Personal Achievement and of course I live vicariously through my children and my husband, Dave.

When I’m not working… I devote my time and energy first to my family, and am learning to spend more time for myself.

Favorite Destinations - Oh, we've had the Good Fortune to travel to a number of beautiful places both in the United States and abroad. I truly loved my time in Caye Caulker, Belize. Probably, mostly because we were with dear friends. The Tuscan region of Italy was welcoming, gorgeous and was a trip with my husband and my daughter. I hold so many vivid memories of that excursion. We also take many summer excursions to Eastern Washington, to our happy place on the Columbia River.

Best advice - That is a fabulous question. I often think of what wise words I can relate to my young adult children. I don't want to be too directive. I guess, the best advice I can offer is, "listen to both your heart and your head. They know you."

Nick Name - Mom. Lol

Fears - This might be unusual, but they are far too many to list. Lol

One I can share, is spiders. Send me snakes and lizards any day!

Something you probably shouldn’t have done - That answer could be very telling. I guess I'll go back to something 30+ years in my past. I probably shouldn't have helped steal the flags off of the B&M Shopping Center in Lake Stevens for a senior prank, class of 1982.

Guilty pleasure - mine might be sitting still at the beach or in the woods and simply “being.” Listening to sounds of critters, moving water, wind, vegetation. Breathing deeply the scents of earth, water, and wind. While this might be the most restorative activity for me, I always feel guilty taking the time.

Why John L. Scott? After a first professional service career as a public school administrator for almost two decades, I appreciate the focus of “living life as a contribution” continuing in my second career at JLS. Being surrounded by others who focus on personal service and relationships means the world to me.
